Specialty pharmacy options

Spending on specialty medications has skyrocketed in recent years. Specialty medications are primarily, but not exclusively, injectable, require frequent dosing adjustments, intensive clinical monitoring, and are very expensive compared to non-specialty prescriptions.

Over 300 new specialty medications are expected to hit the market over the next couple years, 60% of which are for chronic conditions.
